Every winter, thousands of families in Bangladesh’s remote and underprivileged areas suffer severely from the cold. Many lack adequate clothing or shelter to protect themselves from the harsh weather. Inspired by this harsh reality, Akand Foundation launched the “Warmth for Winter” initiative—distributing hundreds of blankets to the poorest and most vulnerable communities.
Our team of volunteers traveled directly to remote villages and urban slums—places where people were wrapped in thin cloth, children walked barefoot, and signs of hardship were visible all around. But we didn’t just deliver blankets—we delivered dignity, hope, and the warmth of humanity.
This program was not just about comfort; it was a message—a reminder that no one should be left neglected in the cold.
Every blanket became a symbol of compassion, empathy, and the basic right to live with warmth and dignity.
